Tamarama Beach is one of Sydney’s most popular beaches in Bondi NSW, and for good reason. You can spend a day at the beach with your friends or family, enjoy some ice cream or surfers on the sand. There are plenty of things to do in Tamarama Beach! Here are just a few:
Enjoy a Swim
This sounds obvious, but you can’t go to the beach without swimming. The surf is usually good on Tamarama Beach so it’s a safe bet that there are plenty of waves for all levels of swimmers.
Take a Walk
This one may not be as exciting as hanging out with friends, surfing or even eating ice cream, but walking along the beach and getting some fresh air is always therapeutic.
Enjoy Some Ice Cream at Milkbar Desserts
If your feet get tired from walking along the sand then head up to this iconic Sydney café where they serve delicious gelato in flavours like strawberry macadamia nut and chocolate hazelnut praline crunch! You won’t regret stopping here for some indulgent sweet treats!
Hit the Waves
This is a popular activity for people of all ages, even if you don’t know how to surf. You can hire boards at one of the many surfing schools around Tamarama and learn everything you need from catching waves to getting up on your feet! It’s not too late in 2018 so get booking that lesson today!
Visit Shark Island
Tamarama Beach has its very own shark island where there are plenty of safe pools to swim in without being worried about sharks or other dangers lurking beneath the surface–look out into the horizon past those beautiful beaches with views like this! There are also picnic areas as well as BBQ facilities so it makes for an awesome day trip destination.
Want to go kayaking but don’t know where? Head over to Tamarama Beach, it’s one of Sydney’s best places for a paddle. You can book an hour-long session and explore the coastlines or you could even do your first ever ocean crossing from here!
Visit Manly Market on Sundays
I’m sure there are plenty more things to do in Tamarama Beach that I haven’t mentioned, but these ones have been my favourites so far. If you’re looking for something different then head into this market which sells everything from clothing to produce as well as some delicious food options like fresh pies baked right before your eyes! The market is open every Sunday morning until midday–you won’t regret stopping by.
